NOTES: BNA: 2 Calls at 0:11 and 0:13 seconds into the cut. LNS NOTE: In a letter from B. McCaffrey to GB at LNS dated 15 November 1990, the recordist describes two series from Lanius excubitor. He states "male and female mated pair. . . then another series of shrike calls." This might refer to LNS 50044 and 50049 respectively. This letter is stored in the unedited file under the recordist's name. MJA, 20 April 2005. [I cannot be sure that anything in this recording was given by a shrike, but the "waa" calls at 0:11 and 0:13 were instead given by Sterna paradisaea (as apparently noted in a subsequent communication by McCaffery and confirmed by Gerrit Vyn); I am unsure what gave the peeping series at 0:10-0:17. Quality unchanged (3) - CAM - 7 September 2005]. Identity changed from Lanius excubitor to Sterna paradisaea, MJA, 31 July 2007.
