Observation details
First of fall.....On logging roads, if you approach SNBU (they are quite tame) at a relatively slow speed, they willl flush and fly down the road ahead of you. If you keep bumping them they may do this, seemingly, for miles. If you speed up and approach them rapidly, they will flush to the side and circle around to land in the road behind your vehicle, almost every time. Same thing with Lapland Longspurs.
