Observation details
Foraging in Calidris Cove with 3 peccies and 16 LESAs. Intermediate in size between the two. Classic Calidris look— add wingtips that extend past the tail and noticeably cross. Overall gray tones differentiate this bird from the Baird’s Sandpiper I found later. In flight, it showed an all-white rump for its definitive, namesake field mark.
