Observation details
Continuing in same spot we found yesterday: marshy habitat N/NW of secret garden approx 33.703804, -118.005714. Main description of the bird is in yesterday's checklist, but I would add that it is still calling-- though infrequently-- a soft but noticeable hwhit call often made as it's finishing a sally back up to a low branch. Tail gives a slight flick upward fairly frequently. The bird keeps quite low to the ground, sallying completely to the ground and perching ~1-2 feet off the ground. Stayed primarily in the marshy circle just east of the lake (down a thin muddy path), but sometimes made short stints around the brush by the currently un-crossable lake crossing.
