Observation details
First found by John Myles slightly north of the coordinates but then later relocated at: 71.3258434, -156.6685886. Seen and heard well by all. When moving from pond to pond, it would give the distinctively gentle too-li call, easily discerned from the harsher more aggressive Semipalmated Plover calls. Visually, the bird appeared very plump with a relatively long bill, jet black auriculars, subtle but discernible white supercillium, dark orbital ring, and distinct black breast band. Photos and recordings to be added.
