Observation details
In the last scope of woods before the large water control structure. This bird put on a show for several minutes, affording great looks at all the field marks. Back dull olive color with dark streaking. Dark line through eye more prominent than in Bay-breasted. Fairly defined streaks starting at sides of throat and continuing down the sides. White wing bars. Throat suffused with yellow. Belly white, undertail coverts pure white. Yellow-orange on the legs and feet was very noticeable in good light. I noticed this bird dipping its tail a few times. The bird called a chip note a few times that I was able to get a recording of with my phone. I believe that this was an adult male.
