Observation details
Continuing bird found by Eric Ellingson. He took us to the spot on Alden Bank where he had it three hours earlier and it was still there! Re-spotted by Levi among one of the gull feeding groups. We watched it fly and land among two different gull feeding flocks. After about 20 minutes an Olympic type gull began chasing it and pursued it for several minutes heading SW into San Juan waters. Watched it fly past Matia and continue towards the Orcas shoreline before loosing sight of it. Unmistakeable large seabird with brown back, white belly, and massive yellow bill. Many photos.
