Observation details
Oh goodness! Found yesterday midday by M. Butler. First MRN record since 2005. Seen off and on a number of times while down by Fish Docks proper with a number of others. Seen later on in cypresses near entrance road/gate to residence. Gorgeous bird. Subtly stunning, in fact. Neutral gray with a tinge of blue above and bright white below. At certain angles and light, an ever so slight hint of lemon yellow could be seen on the flanks and base of undertail coverts. At other angles, the bird was notably dichromatic. Two bold white wing bars, and a complete lack of yellow/green hues on the uppers and remiges. Essentially, it was the brightest and bulkiest passerine in the mixed flock, making it easier to find.
