Observation details
Initially responded to playback of “tseep” call by calling with similar call and popping up in reeds. Stayed obscured most of the time but could see diagnostic features and managed some photos. At one point it did pop up and do a Marsh Wren split in the open but I wasn’t quick enough for that photo. Call sounds very much like a Song Sparrow but was shorter and possibly a little thinner. Orange face with grey cheek patch and median crown stripe and white stripes down back; gray nape and pointed tail rectrices seen in photo
