Observation details
Nice views of several birds not far off West Point. Possibly as many as 5 different birds that I witnessed. Others will probably have better photos. I noticed a steep forehead and diffuse amount of paleness in the underwing coverts. Otherwise dark overall. We watched one land among a flock of gulls and alcids gathered above a bait ball; it immediately dove and proved difficult to relocate. FOY.
