Observation details
A very interesting ambiguous bird. Rear-end structure looks like MacG, I think, with the tail extending well out past the undertail coverts; but the face and throat have a pale yellow infusion, more like Mourning. I heard a couple of chips in the area that I thought were MacG/Mourning-like, which sounded hard and sharp with a rising inflection (rather Waterthrush-like, not as sibilant as Mourning) but not when the bird was in view, so I can’t be sure they were coming from the bird.
