Observation details
This bird was found in the morning by Serena Ross and then seen by Kyle Lima. Foraging from perches on fence rails and posts, occasionally dropping to the ground for prey. The bird was quite adroit in the air as it chased and looked for invertebrate prey. Typical phoebe shape and size, Eastern Phoebe present for comparison. Upperparts sandy brownish gray, seemingly darker around the eyes. Wing coverts pale edged and fresh in appearance, as were pale tipped primaries. Uppertail coverts blackish. Tail blackish. Throat palest, whitish gray blending with pale gray breast and then dull rusty-orange lower breast and belly to undertail. Legs slate gray. Bill black. Eye dark.
