Observation details
Pluvialis feeding on edge of first lagoon north of warehouse at east end. Viewed in full sun for 30 minutes. Body about Killdeer sized but longer legged. Overall buffy gray. Somewhat of a faded bib. Distinct light gray supercilium with dark cheek smudge. Back and wings flecked black with faint buffy edging. When bird raised its wings a dark rump was visible but no dorsal wing stripe in secondaries. Presumed juv bird. Overall too warm colored to be BBPL plus smaller, shorter, no white rump and no wing stripe on dorsal side of wing. Poor digiscoped photos to follow.
