Observation details
Note: Description to be added-photos attached. The Buff-breasted Sandpiper was observed after the Biol 5820 CSUSB class departed. I went back to where the Baird's Sandpipers were found earlier on a hunch that the shallow spreading waters to adjacent the plowed grass might harbor something good that we did not cover. Almost immediately after walking to the Walker 1 marker northeast of the Walker Ponds, I observed the BBSA along the edge of a plowed area filling with water. Nearby were 3 Baird's Sandpipers. Also of note; later in the day (the) Stilt Sandpiper arrived with 7 GRYE and a single LEYE. I was joined by Kathryn McGiffen at around 5 PM and we relocated the BBSA at the same location. I will record this as a single observation with three species because my earlier list with the class confounds the numbers, etc.
