Two White-eyed Parakeets (Psittacara leucophthalmus) inspecting a decay-formed cavity in a live guaycá tree (Ocotea pulchella), with one of the parakeets throwing dirt and dust from the cavity by kicking. This cavity is also the roost cavity of a female Helmeted Woodpecker (Celeus galeatus) that arrived later the same afternoon (see ML488405). 00:02 White-eyed Parakeet lands in front of cavity 00:51 and 01:30 a second White-eyed Parakeet that is inside the cavity kicks out dirt from the cavity bottom. 02:06 the parakeet that was inside looks out 03:12 one parakeet flies off 03:55 the second parakeet flies off. Background sounds: White-browed Warbler, White-spotted Woodpecker, Short-tailed Antthrush. Because of sensitivity of location, the location precision is 800m.
