Observation details

Two birds in short dry grass with a few scattered trees . Both male and female birds were present . A soft but deep repeated booming call was also heard presumably made by the female. Another call heard sounded softer and further away ,likely that of a male bird. Female bird momentarily foraged in the open on a track at a small rain puddle. Brightly plumaged with red eyes.
