Observation details
First observed two perched on floating log far off of Anderson Island, a third joined and they all flew off together, eventually landing in the water beyond the outer buoys of the park. Watched through scope for 10-15 minutes. Gull like birds with dark caps, pale neck and belly with dark breast band, dark wings, tail and back. White wing flashes in flight. Missing long central rects on all three birds, but field marks, size and flight style best fit PAJA. Group took off, at least one bird headed further into the sound. VERY distant photos.
