Observation details
I was trying to re-find the Ruff and didn't really look at this bird. It wasn't really probing, just kind of hanging out between the furrows. Took one distant photo and then it flew towards south pond. it did vocalize, making a few single note "kek" type calls which I attributed to LBDO at the time. Now, knowing that Chuck Vaughn found and identified a Stilt Sandpiper the following day, I believe that bird had been there and overnighted. Bad angle on this low-resolution photo, but arguing for STSA would be: longish yellow legs, white breast, shortish tapered possibly drooping bill on the order of 2x head length (vs. straight, tubular bill 3x head length on dowitcher), and the afore mentioned flight call.
