Observation details
I couldn't see the bird singing while hidden in green shrubbery off the trail. It didn't move around but kept on singing repeatedly a distinctive song. Merlin quickly IDed the song as MacGillivray's Warbler and it seems to me that it matches those posted for this bird on allaboutbirds. I upload two version of my recording: the first is more loudly boosted, but the background noise is high, the second is softer but cleaner. The song can be better heard in the second half of the recording.
