Media notes

About 8 minutes after the alarm call (once the hawk had been gone for several minutes), the acorn woodpeckers emerged from hiding and began to give karrit-cut calls, which they usually give when emerging from hiding after a hawk alarm call (they also give karrit-cuts in many other contexts). Then about 1 minute after the karrit-cuts stopped, I recorded two waka calls
