Observation details
One seen north of peninsula. Two seen together in eucs on south side of Jack Green. One individual was making unusual vocalizations. For a short spell every 10 to 20 minutes it would give off a series of short bubbling calls. A soft, bubbling, almost sputtering fi-li-li that first caught my attention. I tried to get some video and recordings but the traffic noise was horrendous and mostly drowned out the bird. And when it did vocalize it often stopped before I could begin recording. I did manage a couple of recordings where the bubbling call can be faintly heard. I did hear it give a typical "breee" call once or twice. Xeno has a few similar recordings labeled interaction calls though this bird was not interacting or even near the other pewee.
