Observation details
Found by Bob and Audrey out at the end of fishhook pier. Stunning fresh juvenile plumaged bird foraging quite literally less than a foot away from us laying down photographing it on the very edge of the wall. Definitely a highlight birding experience for me all time, but especially for Chicago.
