Observation details
Reviewers, I need your help IDing this bird. I couldn't find the bird visually, but heard a flyover. It sounds unusual for this habitat (chaparral with apparently no water bodies nearby that I know of, unless Mt. Kuchamaa has some in there), like some sort of waterbird, but i'm not sure what it is. I don't think it could be a nuthatch, a flicker or a killdeer (considering they are sometimes found outside wetlands), the closest thing I could think this could be is either a rail/coot/gallinule or a Black-necked Stilt. Any thoughts?
