Observation details
A flock of birds consisting of mostly adults with a few immature birds among the flock. The birds are actively feasting on the abundance of cones on a grove of Casurina trees . This tree species is classed as invasive at this location and so are steadily being eradicated. The birds are constantly chattering while they break open the hard cones. The soft crackling sounds in the background relates to the cones cracking open. Towards the end of this clip ,the flock suddenly take off with noisy loud calls .
