Media notes
The first photo of the juvenile Common Ringed Plover having just landed at the tip of Simpson Point.
Observation details
The Yukon's FIRST Common Ringed Plover. A juv. calling and flying against the strong south-east wind, and flew way out over the ocean, and then appeared to drop at the very tip of Simpson Point. I quickly walked to the tip, and there it was -- sitting at the very edge of the gravel beach. It quickly warmed up and began feeding. Glorious!
