Observation details
Small, all-yellow empid, particularly on the throat, with bold eyering. Gave one call, an upslurred, soft "pwee!" before taking off over the silo pond. Cuter in appearance than Least or Acadian. Smaller bill than Acadian, more uniform coloration in comparison to Least, distinct vocalization from either Least or Acadian, and wingtips approaching Acadian, but not as truncated as Least. Yellow-bellied seems to be detected annually at around this time in Brumley North. Photos.
