Observation details
***LIFER***. This is a long staying bird, since at least October 2020. From everything I can find online it is considered a naturally occurring bird. More information here: https://www.stmarksrefuge.org/birding-reports-entries/flamingo. No mistaking ID, even at a distance of 400+ yards. - Very tall, overall pink bird. - Crazy looking bill. Thick overall, angles down with black outer half, pink in middle, white base. - Long pink legs. - Feeding 99% of the entire time I observed it (which was the entire duration of this checklist). Only briefly would it preen or even lift its head up out of water.
