Observation details
I am reporting this species, not due to its rarity, but rather the size of the flock (yes, I really mean flock). There was a minimum of 30 birds that flew into pond 'C" and landed at the shoreline of the western most island. They roosted at the shoreline for approximately four minutes and flew off together. I am posting two photos that were taken with a 100 mm macro lens, so the quality is poor, but in one photo you can count ten Yellowlegs and the other photo you can count 19 Yellowlegs. Today was my first time in my experience to witness a large flock of any species of Yellowlegs.
