Observation details
Saw from overlook near sand bar to south among feeding frenzy of dcco lagu cote. Second seen later from shore had whitish patches on upperside of wings. I don't think I've seen that before. Perhaps related to molt? Saw similar birds in Macaulay library when I got home. Horrible gigantically cropped photo in heat shimmer but I included it because of plumage that I had been unfamiliar with.
