Another video, this one from farther out. I had backed up along the fence, to the north. Mostly "mag" vocalizations here, but also some softer whistles and croaks.

Observation details

Fantastic studies--thanks to Hannah Floyd for the tip. First time for me at this site, and some of the best magpie studies I've ever had. 10 media objects, below, of one bird in particular. Note the protean vocalizations + the cerulean nictitans, two features of bird behavior/physiology I've sure noticed a lot more ever since I've been creating "rich media" uploads for eBird. Further comments, below, with the media objects.
