Media notes
The same male Cone-billed Tanager (as at 06h59m50s) responds to playback after moving along the edge of the oxbow toward us. Background includes: Rusty-winged Antwren, Blue Ground Dove, Pale-vented Pigeon. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.
Observation details
A singing male appeared along the edge of the oxbow lake, singing from the dead top of a scrubby tree. We moved the boat toward it and got good looks (photos) and recorded its song, the recordings after playback. A lifer for RAR & REW!
