Observation details
Continuing bird seen by many. We were informed that someone had it in their scope perched in a bush at the northern end of the pond. We observed it at a distance for about 10 minutes before it took off and soared overhead in the thermals with multiple vultures and Mississippi Kites. In flight we were clearly able to view the long and broad wings and a heavily streaked underside. Head was similar to an Osprey with striped buff/white and brown face and head. Dark back, white rump and small deeply hooked bill.
