On the alert after the eagle started making passes at it
Observation details
A nice surprise. I spotted it a ways out, and it kept coming closer until it was quite close to the pier. At this point, it attracted the attentions of the Bald Eagle in the marina, which made several passes at it. It would dive just before the eagle reached it and resurface a fair distance away.
