Observation details
A single Semipalmated Plover was observed from a close distance when it landed near me at the boat launch. It was a small bird with a single breast band; mask above the base of the bill, through the eye, and extending to the back of the nape; white stripe above the black mask at the base of the beak but in front of the eye, orange bill with a black tip Top of legs appear to be yellow. A photo was obtained to document the sighting.
