Observation details
Continuing first winter bird coming to dead fish and fish eggs left on the ice just off shore. First showed up a few minutes before 8 AM, and came in approximately every 30-40 minutes to feed for a while. Both coming and going it would fly in circles a few times, sometimes quite high, before coming in to land. At least twice after leaving it would head off to the east, around the close point of land, and disappear. Afterwards, I walked a bit down the road to the first bridge, and found it sitting on the ice just past the open water. It didn't spend long there, but might be returning occasionally to the open area. The bird vocalized once during the morning, when a Bald Eagle flew in fairly close.
