Observation details
After failing yesterday (07/05/22) to visually locate the singing bird, it was easily observed this morning approximately 80 meters southeast of the Casco Road/Pleasant Hill Road intersection, perched 2'-3' up on green or brown weedy growth. It was also noted that a second bird was singing (intermittently) several hundred meters to the east of the "dominant" singer. Several times, while scope viewing the dominant singing bird from a distance, the second bird could be heard singing while the dominant bird preened. Also, overlap of songs from the two singers was clearly heard. A visual was never obtained of the second bird. Most likely, it was hidden from view by a grassy ridge. Audio file and distant photos obtained of the dominant singer.
