Apparent young female (indicated by presence of dark on crown) feeding a younger immature individual of undetermined sex. Older female was getting black oil sunflower seeds from feeder just outside picture frame, and feeding to immature. Multiple instances were observed. Feeding 1. Female on right feeding immature on left.
Observation details
Appears to be an young-of-the-year female feeing an immature of unknown sex. YOY female assumed due to dark mark on crown, suggesting remnant of dark crown observed in young individuals before red feathers begin to appear.
