Observation details
**Rare** Continuing bird first reported by Casey Cunningham on 2 July 2022. Small, flat-headed sparrow; large bill; yellowish-orange supraloral spot; complete eyering; dark spot at the rear of the auriculars; hint of yellow on the folded wing when perched; buffy, unstreaked breast; a little streaking noted on the sides. This bird was perched immediately adjacent to the mowed path, consistently singing its distinctive song. Eventually the bird flew to the large grassy area to the east and continued singing. Handheld digiscoped photos attached.
