Media notes
Recording of the "second" of two Sedge Wren singing pre-dawn at this location.
Observation details
Song from a Sedge Wren recorded at 0514 hrs. on Freese Road across the road from Dyce Bee Lab. At 0:25.8 into the recording there is a very low amplitude note just prior to an abbreviated song of consisting of four short notes. The soft note and abbreviated song may be due to my presence, though there are other longer songs with similar soft introductory notes. Two males were previously observed singing at this location by multiple birders (including Kevin McGowan--who may have photos). I recorded a single singing Sedge Wren at this general location on 23Jul2000. One of the two birds recorded on 30Jul2000 may be the same individual as was recorded on 23Jul. The coordinates for this singing male's position are: 42.4645462,-76.4495829.
