Media notes
I recalled Luis Saltos whispering, 'Get a photo of its tail - its tail' (Black-billed Cuckoo/Feb 2022) so was thinking, "Ok handsome bird, show me your tail." Oh wow, what a gift from the Universe!
Observation details
If not Pearly-breasted, Yellow-billed? Typical behavior like the Black-billed - staying almost motionless in the top third of medium-sized trees. It changed to four or five trees and then sat for a long time in one and allowed several views. Trying to see the tail, I walked right under it and it totally ignored me. It caught one bright-green caterpillar-type worm (not spiny) - the photo of that did not turn out well, but there are lots of images and videos.
