Media notes
Hunting at dusk for itself and two fledglings.
Observation details
I think we confirmed only one adult (at a time) tonight, but we enjoyed great views of the two recently fledged juveniles. This evening they first appeared just north of Miles and 34th, where we got views of them in tree branches, in the open on a wire, and atop a topped-off pine (see photos & videos). They then moved to our backyard (for the 4th straight night), where we watched the silhouetted juveniles flying around and waiting for their parent to visit, while they issued their chittery juvenile begging calls. On at least one occasion the adult fed one of the juvies some small food item. The juveniles are getting noticeably more feathering and less fluffy night by night. This was a life bird for Dorna, and of course she got a marvelous photo.
