Observation details
One heard in the forest in response to playback. The bird did not approach the road so we decided to enter the forest in order to see the bird. It took only a short walk through the understory before we were able to observe the birds eye-shine as it perched atop a palm frond. DJB then approached the bird while LNK observed the bird in the torch from a distance. The palm from the perch was perched atop was quite high, somewhere between 3 - 4 metres above the forest floor, and as such acquiring good views were difficult. With some persistence, photos of the bird were taken before it was left, still perched on top of the same palm leaf
