Observation details
Lifer for both of us! Continuing bird. Found by Carli G. And Mike K. yesterday. So glad it stuck around long enough for us to get it on the way home from my weekend birthday trip to the Okanagan! Male, bright white overall. Very striking head with a yellow cap, white cheek, black nape, black at the base of the black beak extending down almost like a frown when seen from the front and framing a white throat. Distinct (but small) chestnut patch on his side just before his wing. Dark wing with white wing bars contrasting with a bright white belly. Back also mostly black, but showing some yellow highlights. Tail black from above with white undertail coverts. Actively singing and foraging a bit to the West of the original pin posted on the RBA as we arrived. Photos and recording to be attached.
