Media notes
annoyed female SCTA, after altercation with REVI
Observation details
Heard two SCTAs singing together. Hear recording. www.birdsoftheworld.org notes that "female SCTAs sing a song similar to that of male, but generally shorter (fewer syllables), slightly softer (weaker), and a little less harsh. Female often sings together with male..." and that "Female song heard regularly early in breeding season, less often during incubation and brooding. In Michigan, 9 of 14 (65%) paired female Scarlet Tanagers observed singing during nesting season." On the strength of this info, I coded "P"
