Observation details
Several Serpophaga-type tyrannulets observed feeding on the ground and in nearby low vegetation along the road. Most were non-vocal, however, one individual (photographed) heard giving a clear Straneck's song with a single introductory note followed by a rapid trill. We also heard a Straneck's singing at another point along the road but never heard any White-crested Tyrannulet-type songs. I've listed all individuals as Straneck's here based on that but if this could more accurately be recategorized as 1 Straneck's Tyrannulet and 7 Straneck's/White-crested Tyrannulet.
