Observation details
Seen along the road on top of a small spruce. A small bird. Warm light brown with an orange tinge on the breast. Bill pale, conical, and thick relative to the bird's size. Dark eye in a plain light brown face. One bold pale wing bar with a weaker bar below. The bird flew as I was getting my camera. It landed on another spruce top farther away. I got some distant photos before a Tree Swallow buzzed it and it flew further west. Attempts to relocate it were not successful.
