Observation details
First detected by song at 1302. Seen and heard well after that for about eight minutes at the south end of the park. A medium sized warbler with an overall black and white striped appearance. The face and head were a blackish gray with a white moustache stripe a prominent white eyebrow and white crown stripe and a black throat. The sides were white with black streaking and so was the chest, and the belly was mostly a dirty white. Wings were a striking black with two white wing bars and white edging on the inside edge. The back was patterned black and white and the tail a solid gray. Undertail was dirty white with some black speckling. The beak was a little longer and thinner looking than most warbler beaks are, and it and the legs were both solid grayish black. It also exhibited classic black and white warbler behavior, creeping up tree bark before retreating into the underbrush, staying low to the ground the entire time. Photos and Audio TBA.
