Observation details
Perching and preening. New Holland Honeyeaters are abundant in the suburbs of Perth, feeding on small invertebrates and on the nectar of both native and introduced plants, particularly eucalypts, Banksias, Hakeas and Grevilleas. In these video clips on bird is feeding on the flowers of Eucalyptus preissiana, while the other preened in an olive tree. The call is that of a Willie Wagtail.
