Observation details
Eating olives and perching in a nearby almond tree. Silvereyes (Zosterops lateralis chloronotus) eat insects, spiders and soft fruits and are often considered to be pests by vignerons and orchardists in southwestern Australia. A small flock of nine Silvereyes visited a fruiting black olive tree in my back yard, preferring overripe fruits over others.
