Observation details
Empid with loud pita-tsee call note. Relatively long wingtip projection, large long bill. Close view while it was calling. Nice to see this late season specialty. Audio and photos. Audio includes some of the soft trilling call they occasionally make. They seem to make that call most often when changing perches. From the parking lot on Whitney Avenue, the bird was about 300 or 400 feet past the gate. It was on the right hand side of the trail.
